How Procurement Australia Built a Future-Ready Website

The new Procurement Australia website transformed the way customers navigate and engage with their solutions. Launched during a period of leadership change, it provided the agility to pivot to a new business model while improving usability and reducing costs — all without a complete rebuild.

The Challenge

Turning Complexity Into Clarity

Procurement Australia’s previous website was difficult to navigate and overloaded with information. The homepage and many key pages were cluttered, while outdated product pages added to user frustration. Visitors struggled to find what they needed, and there was no clear content prioritisation. The project kicked off during a period of leadership change. The interim CEO maintained a conservative, solution-based approach, but soon after, a new CEO shifted the business towards a vertical industry model. The website needed to launch quickly, solve usability issues, and remain flexible enough to adapt as the organisation’s priorities evolved.

Bringing Complex Services to Life with Motion Design

To further enhance Procurement Australia’s brand storytelling, LBX Agency partnered with Dandy Studios to produce a high-impact explainer animation. We developed the script to simplify complex messaging, collaborated with the studio on visual styling, and project managed the full production process.

The result was an engaging video asset that communicates Procurement Australia’s value proposition clearly and creatively, making it easier for stakeholders to understand their service offering and strengthening brand presence across digital channels.

Our Approach

A Growth-Driven Design Strategy

Lightbox Agency used a Growth-Driven Design (GDD) approach to launch an improved site quickly, then optimise it based on real-time data and business needs:
  • Full Website Audit – Identified high-performing pages, outdated content, and gaps.
  • GDD Workshop – Defined buyer personas and mapped their journeys.
  • Roadmap Creation – Prioritised the pages that would deliver the highest impact.
  • HubSpot CMS Build – Enabled ongoing optimisation and performance tracking.

  • Solution Directory – Created over 200 solutions, categorised by vertical, for quick and relevant access.
The Outcome

A Platform That Evolves With the Business

The result is a future-ready website that solves existing usability challenges and gives Procurement Australia the flexibility to grow:
  • Simplified Navigation – A clearer user journey that helps visitors find solutions faster.
  • Optimised Structure – Aligned with both old and new business models.
  • Vertical Content Architecture – Ready for immediate rollout when leadership pivoted strategy.
  • Agile Design – Built-in flexibility allows continuous updates without costly redevelopment.
  • Data-Led Optimisation – Post-launch adjustments improve performance and keep the site aligned with business goals.
By blending Growth-Driven Design with a flexible, data-powered platform, we created a website that not only solved immediate usability issues but continues to deliver value long after launch.
